Labor Day Weekend Activities

Over labor day weekend, I spent a lot of time with friends. We did everything from play poker and pool, to traveling to the middle of nowhere in Iowa. Friday after class, I met a couple of friends downtown La Crosse, and we hung out at the root note and talked about our plans for two hours. At the root note, we watched a local singer play her guitar, and sing. She sang country music. After some time had passed, we picked up a couple of friends and went out to dinner at Fayze’s. We all had burgers. At around 8 P.M. Friday night, we went to our buddy’s house in La Crescent, and played blackjack, and texas hold-em. It was a lot of fun. After awhile, we played billiards. Around 2:30 A.M., we all went home. On Saturday, my buddies and I went to the root note to just hang out. There, we decided that we were going to take a road trip to somewhere in Iowa, but didn’t know where, at the time. Around 2 P.M., we left and ended up driving two hours to Cresco, Iowa. We all hung out until midnite that night, and the rest of my weekend was spent with my family from Onalaska.

Introduction of Self

Hello!
My name is Jared Clairmont and I am a graduate of La Crescent High School. I was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and currently reside in La Crescent, Minnesota, where I have lived all of my life. I am currently attending Western Technical College. I am enrolled in the Associates of Science of Liberal Arts program. My hopes are that I will be able to transfer to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities for the 2011-2012 school year. Some of my hobbies include: anything to do with sports (mainly baseball), listening to a wide variety of music, watching television and movies, and spending my free time with my friends and family. I have two younger siblings; Emily, 16, and Annie, 13. I love traveling. However, I haven’t had the opportunity to travel much in my life. For a majority of my life, I have been very fascinated in the medical field, and hope to pursue something in the medical field while attending the U of M. That is just a little about me. I hope to have a great semester with all of you, and will see you in class!
